Roman

The Roman variety originates from Italy and is one of the most represented in our area. It has a medium lush canopy. Roman hazel blossoms and ripens later - between September 5 and 15. The fruit is large (3-3.5 g), round in shape. There are usually between 3 and 5 fruits in the bunch.         Mature fruits easily fall out of the bunch, the shell is thin, and considering that this variety of hazelnut is very easy to process. The yield is high (40-45%). The core is the large, sweet taste, pronounced aroma. Extremely popular and appreciated in the confectionery industry.

Halski Gin

The Halski Gin variety originates from the Netherlands, has a lush canopy, and is very fertile. This variety blooms late and ripens - between September 5 and 15. It is resistant to lower temperatures. The shell is thicker, but the fruits are a regular round shape so they are easy to process. The fruit is extremely large (3.5-3.8 g), round in shape. There are usually 3-4 fruits in the bunch. The yield is medium (38-41%). The core is extremely large, tasty, aromatic, and very popular as a consumer product. It is best pollinated by Noccione, Rimski, Cosfort, Ludolf, Tonda Gentile Romana.

Ludolf

The Ludolf variety originates from Germany and has a very lush canopy. Ludolf blooms medium late and matures medium late - between September 1 and 10. The fruit is of medium size (2.8g). Ripe fruits easily fall out of the bunch, the shell is thin and considering that this variety of hazelnut is very easy to process. The yield is medium-high (39-42%). The core is medium-sized, with a sweet taste, pronounced aroma, and suitable for baking.

Tonda Gentile Romana

The Tonda Gentile Romana variety originates from Italy. It is mostly grown in central Italy and has a medium lush canopy. Tonda Gentile Romana blooms early and ripens early - between August 20 and 30. The fruit is of medium size (about 2.7 g), round in shape, thin skin, easy to process. There are 3 to 5 fruits in the bunch. The yield is high (40-45%). Tonda Gentile de Lalanga

Costford

Cosfort is a variety from England. It does not have a lush canopy and its leaves are also smaller.Cosfort blooms medium early and ripens between September 5 and 15. The fruit is small and extremely oblong. The yield is high (40-43%).Cosfort is one of the best pollinators, the number of spring fringes is significantly higher than with other varieties. The tassels are full of pollen. Cosfort is recommended on every plantation as one of the pollinators.
